ATM stands for “Azienda Trasporti Milanese” or “Milan Transit Authority”, a company established 1931, owned by the Milan Municipality. Its oldest pride is the urban network of rails on which, since 1933, runs the fleet of streetcars, for it’s functionality: it’s cheap to manage and does not pollute.
